The Bridal Guide was developed by Jill Doherty in 1992 as a media tool to guide newly engaged couples through the wedding planning process. The theory was to give the couples one media source with educational wedding related articles and information on upcoming events.
Each guide has recurring articles such as Bridal Expos, What's New in the Tri-County and the Newlywed Wisdom which features a recently married couple. The newlyweds share their tips and suggestions in hopes to help engaged couples. There is also a wide selection of participating wedding vendors to peruse.
The Bridal Guide has evolved from a one colored card stock cover with black and white internal pages to where it is today - a full-color high gloss cover and inner pages, maintaining the wedding industry vendors and educational articles.
